Hi friends! I just wanted to share a recap of an event I guest hosted to kick off fall. I teamed up with Shop Katsch for their first Sip & Style event. This was a special private event we put together to share our favorite fall trends. I introduced you to Amy DeFauw and her Geneseo, Illinois shop last month and you can read all about it HERE.
This was such a fun evening and the event kicked off the season with a special shopping discount for our guests. Amy and I discussed our favorite fall trends for fashion and home decor. We had yummy treats and of course some tasty sips!
Here’s some images from the Sip & Style to give you an overview of what the night was all about. I selected all the details from Minted. I just love Minted and have used their paper goods for events and invitations in the past. The quality of their products is top-notch. Fantastic service too. Our invites and supplies arrived crazy fast!
The invitations really set the tone for the event. We wanted something with a little floral and fall color but not too stuck on theme. Did you know you can use any Minted wedding invitation for any occasion? It was really easy to add in our own messaging and we received a proof to approve before we placed our order. It was also important to have the event details included and this invite came with the option for print on the back so it was perfect for this event. The gold foil inserts for the envelopes added a lovely touch and they provide addressing for your envelopes which is such a time saver!
Sparkle Everywhere Personalizable Bunting Banner
The biggest challenge hosting 50 people in a store for a shopping event is you have to leave a lot of merchandise out. You need space for shopping but also accessible zones for the party details. Amy moved a lot of things around and we came up with stations for drinks, food, party favors, photo opportunities and made room for seating for our presentations on fall trends. We tied everything together with the florals and the party decor.
Letting the invitations be our guide, we found party supplies we could personalize and that tied together the colors and mood of the event. Hanging the personalized banner was a perfect added touch and it can be used for future Sip & Style Events.
Modern Mint Personalized Table Runner
The bar area we outfitted with the black and white striped table runner with vintage trays and barware.
We had a signature drink for the event provided by Lionstone Brewing Company. All in the details, right? And yes, it was delish!
The autumnal floral arrangements were absolutely stunning and created by Designs on the Boulevard.
A little something sweet for party favors as a thank you.
We set up another table for light bites and more treats. Again, unifying the party decor with the table runner, florals, and a fun gold glitter banner.
Cupcakes and cookies provided by Paxton’s Corner Coop.
Modern Marble Personalizable Photo Backdrops
And of course, no event would be complete without a place for a photo opp! The photo backdrop got a lot of use that evening!
Here’s a few snaps of the night…
My thanks to Amy of Katsch for having me guest host her first Sip & Style! It was a success and we are toying around with doing another for holiday. I’ll keep you posted if that happens. That’s a busy time of year…so we’ll see if we can make it work.
Also, thanks to our husbands for playing bartender and event photographer for the night!
Minted provided the invitations and party decor for this event. All opinions and photography are mine.
