Fabric of the Month: Painted Paisley

Hello, welcome to November! Today I’m sharing another fabric design I created, a twist on the classic paisley shape, the droplet pattern is a motif has been around for centuries. I’ve wanted to do a paisley print for some time but one that was not too traditional, this one combines a small scale floral element with painterly petals in a half drop repeat.

As always I love to have fun with styling, showing the print used different ways!

The Apricot colorway appears in the pretty linen napkin above, lovely on a fall table.

Here’s a look at the neutral Charcoal and sophisticated Indigo as pillows.

I would love to decorate a girl’s room with the Raspberry version – up close it combines blush pink with deeper coral and darker pink.

Finally, a peek at the Teal blue colorway styled as wallpaper – very fun in a home office!

The paisley droplet shape is designed with curling botanical stems arranged in a half drop repeat, each petal painted randomly with three different colors.

The print is available in 9 colorways: Aubergine, Slate, Sage, Apricot, Indigo, Charcoal, Raspberry, Brick (seen below) and also Teal (image above).

The Painted Paisley collection will be available for later today in my Spoonflower shop!
