This week the family is in Fiji, enjoying the food, climate, and wonderful people! Today we’re off to a boat trip to a remote island where we will be snorkeling and soaking up the sun. In two days we depart for New Zealand (South Island) and I’ll be posting our adventures on Instagram, follow along!
Before we left the States I did a little Christmas decorating in the living room to greet us on our return. I love white trees and this year Christmas Tree Market sent me a prelit 7′ Shimmering White Tree, so pretty!
I strung sparkling jeweled garland on the mantel (an easy DIY I’ll share soon) and decorated the tree with just a few ornaments. I purchased a mate for my linen wingback chair earlier this year so I now have a set (I moved the club chairs up to the studio.)
There’s a new faceted mirror above the mantel, I bought it from Lamps Plus on clearance but sadly it’s not available anymore, it’s a less expensive version of the Serena & Lily mirror. I love the mix of white and gold, modern and traditional so I paired it with twin gold leaf sconces from Wisteria.
The tree skirt is so simple – it’s two yards of teal velvet, no sewing, just draped casually around the base.
I’m back to my favorite palette of mixed blues and gold this year. The white tree looks lovely when lit, I’m excited to enjoy the beauty of it when we return from our trip !
